Gradient, a Limited Liability Company (LLC) with headquarters in Boston, MA, is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our 115 person environmental and risk sciences consulting firm.  This position reports directly to the HR Manager and works collaboratively with all departments to attract exceptional and diverse talent for the organization by utilizing LinkedIn, ATS, and various recruitment platforms.

Hours are M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Excellent benefits, friendly work environment, and great location in downtown Boston (position is currently remote due to COVID-19). 

General Responsibilities:
•    Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
•    Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
•    Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
•    Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
•    Screens applications and selects qualified candidates to send to department managers for review.
•    Schedules phone screens and interviews.  Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews. 
•    Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
•    Assists with onboarding of new hires and training implementation.
•    Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
•    Performs reference calls and checks.
•    Performs other duties as assigned. 


Required Skills:
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
•    Excellent interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
•    Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
•    Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
•    Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
•    Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn ATS applicant-tracking software and LinkedIn Recruiter. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Teams.
•    Ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once by focusing on one task while keeping track of others.
•    While scheduling interviews, having the ability to work with several calendars and being able to be creative with last minute scheduling conflicts.

Education and Experience:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
•    At least five years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.
•    SHRM’s Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.
•    Experience with scientific and engineering fields a plus. 
•    Experience with inclusive and diversity recruiting a plus.
