The HR Generalist will serve in a Lead role by providing support to the organization in many areas including: Employment – onboarding/new hire set up and running of Cori’s/Sori’s, I9’s, W2’s, applications, etc. Conducts new hire orientation, processes benefit enrollments, enters data and uploads to Paycom HRIS/Payroll system. Assists Hiring Managers with paperwork, interprets employee handbook, responds to external requests, job description management, creates reports and administers off boarding. Serves as contact to our benefit brokers and sets up new hires with their benefits. Sets up and maintain employee files. This position also is responsible for participating in HR audits. 

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities: 

• Prepares and conducts new hire orientation using Paycom and automation. Takes an active role in obtaining enrollment forms, policies and procedures, employment benefits, hours of work, schedules and time off to ensure employees are knowledgeable of current practices and administrative processes as well as completion of forms.

• Maintains and develops HR related forms, etc. for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information.

• Maintains manual and electronic documents, files and records (e.g. personnel records, employee lists, etc.) for the purpose of providing accurate information in compliance with established guidelines.

• Administers onboarding from the application to the final hire. Supports online training system. 

• Serves as the Benefit Administrator by communicating with our benefit broker for health, dental, 403B and other plans. Enrolls new hire and processes terms in coverage. Also serves as a lead for our online open enrollment process. Responds daily to employee benefit questions. 

• Responsible for record keeping and setting up/maintenance of employee files.

• Prepares a variety of reports and related documents (e.g. verification requests of employment, folders, paperwork, unemployment claims, etc.) for the purpose of providing documentation and information to others.

• Contributes to the development, implementation and maintenance of several agency events, programs and offerings including the employee wellness program, tuition reimbursement, Employee Enrichment Committee and others as needed. 

• Coordinates and tracks the volunteer and intern process from screening, assignments, and record keeping.

• Coordinates employee records and tracks Teacher scheduled layoffs. 

• Performs other related duties as needed.


Educational/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years prior related experience in Human Resources. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, accuracy, and must be able to multi-task and use technology.  This position requires strict confidentiality. In addition, this candidate will have experience in Microsoft Office and Paycom or a similar HRIS system.  Additionally prior knowledge of onboarding, off boarding, I9 and Cori processing. Benefit administration and working with programs including FMLA, PFML, W/C, UE and Cobra are required. 

This position will work under direction and as part of a team.
